On weddings

December is, for some reason, a peak month for weddings here in the Philippines. Maybe because the atmosphere of this month is festive. But since it’s a peak month, most suppliers’ rates are high compare to the lean months. But a lot of couple still prefer this month regardless of the high rates. But if you are getting married December of next year, it’s good to start as early as now so you can reserve the best suppliers and get the best deals with them without being affected by the seasonal rates.

When I was preparing for my wedding two years ago, my best friend was the internet. It helped me find elegant wedding invitation designs. I also got there my gown design and a lot more for my wedding. I also visit wedding exhibits. I remember going to exhibits to gather unique wedding ideas.

It’s really exciting to plan a wedding. Whether you hold it on a peak or lean month, it doesn’t matter. What’s important is you plan it equipped with your creativity, practicality (if needed) and passion.

How I wish I’ll be wed again :D.

Oh…gotta go. We’re leaving now to attend our officemate’s bridal shower tonight.

I should play guitar

Saw this from Toni's blog and thought of trying out the quiz... The result:
You Should Play the Guitar

You're very independent - both in spirit and in the way you learn.
You can teach yourself almost anything, even if it makes your fingers bleed.

You're not really the type to sit patiently through a music lesson - or do things by the book.
It's more your style to master the fundamentals and see where they take you.

Highly creative and a bit eclectic, you need a wide range of music to play.
You could emerge as a sensitive songwriter... or a manic rock star.

Your dominant personality characteristic: being rebellious

Your secondary personality characteristic: tenacity

I wish I know how to play this instrument. I asked dear hubby before to teach me but I gave up after the fourth session. It's hard pala specially when your doing the flats. My fingers sore. I'm contented listening na lang when hubby plays the guitar especially when he plays our team song.

Sad news

I received sad news the other night. My brother in law told me that my sister got suspended from her work (she’s working in a Call Center). He said that she will be suspended for a month. I was shocked and wondered why it happened.

Yesterday, we had the chance to talk. My poor sister was accused of fraud and fabrication of sales. There are five of them who got in to this. I told her to just hold on and stand for the truth and trust for God’s intervention. As of the moment, their case is under investigation.

I thought I need to divert her depression so I diverted our conversation on her online business. I advised her to go on with her online business venture instead. She told me that she hasn’t included yet the software that I suggested before. I told her to revisit the site and check out the ecommerce software at It will help her site become even more customer friendly if order taking will be done electronically. Well, at least now she’ll have more time to build her site.

I am very much affected and sadden with what happened to her. She’s pregnant and Christmas is coming…

EON New Users Steps to follow

Ok...According to my research this is how eon visa electron works:

  1. Apply for the EON Visa Electron online
  2. Call your branch after 5-7 days if the card is ready for pick up
  3. Have a ready photocopy of your 2 valid IDs and prepare the payment of P350.00
  4. Upon receipt of the card, apply for an online banking account .
  5. Wait for 5 days for the activation of your card. You need to call your branch if your card is already activated.
  6. Once activated, deposit at least P100 to post a transaction (this is needed)
  7. You can now access your paypal account and enroll your EON card. (the three digit number that paypal will be needing is your CVV, the number under your PIN number, printed on the paper that comes with your card)
  8. Access your eon cyber account online for the EXPUSE number to verify your card in paypal. (Actually I'm not sure if this still works because some says you should call Unionbank Customer Service for your EXPUSE number, but according to my research, paypal discourages this procedure. But I do hope Unionbank already resolved this matter.)
  9. Once paypal verified your card, you can now transfer funds. The clearing period is 5-7 days. You can check you paypal and eon cyber account if the fund transfer is successful.

I have just enrolled for my cyber account on line and the rest I will do in the following days. So I'm still praying and hoping for the best. :)

Simple things that made my day

Yey!! I already received my eon card this afternoon. I picked it up at Unionbank Tektite after lunch. Thanks to Milet's reminders... It helped a lot! I just need to wait 3 days for my card to be activated. Getting funds from paypal is now child's play...sana lang di matagalan ang release :D.. according to Milet kasi there are some who get their funds after 5 days and some takes one month daw...whew!

We then went to Robinson's Galleria to buy our gifts for our kriskringle sa office and some other stuffs..bigla ako nag crave for cream puff...I don't know what store in the mall who sells that kaya hanap kami ng officemate ko. Finally found them at French Baker...It's good enough, naubos ko na yung iba kaya isa na lng natira before doing this post. :D

I've read this today for my daily doze of Our Daily Journey. This article inspired me..and hope you'll be inspired as much as I do so I'll post it here.

I have a friend who has a number of problems. In fact, right now it seems as if there are chains around his physical, emotional, and relational well-being. I have felt heartbroken listening to his stories of abuse, frustration, and seemingly unanswered prayers.

We meet regularly to pray about his problems. For a time, he angrily questioned God, but now he has come to realize that God loves him and has been present in his ordeal all along. As layers of the problem are peeled back, the pain is lifting. Still, there is a long way to go.

But recently something beautiful happened. Instead of pleading with God for answers and relief, my friend and I spent some time THANKING God. We let our minds run free with things to be grateful for, beginning with the food in our fridges and the clothes on our backs. We thanked God for our wives, friends and families, fresh air, colorful scenery, ocean waves, blue skies, meaningful jobs, and new opportunities. We thanked God for our cars (as old as they are), our bank balances (as depleted as they are), and recent achievements like complicated theses. We thanked God for His loving, forgiving character, and Jesus' sacrificial act on the cross. We thanked God till we could think of nothing else to be grateful for. Then we stopped--and we were changed.

We learned a lesson that day. With our minds filled with thanks, little room had been left for the problems that had engulfed us for weeks. During the extended thanksgiving session our hearts sensed the Spirit's presence and our minds were renewed by contemplating all that was true, pure, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8).

There are no limits to thanksgiving. We can thank God--
- when we're requesting something
-when He answers our prayers
-for His faithful nature
-in every circumstances

Thanksgiving is a sure help in the midst of problems.

19 Things To Say To Your Children

I got this from my inbox a few months ago. I was browsing my archive and saw this and feel like posting it here...
  1. I love you! There is nothing that will make me stop loving you. Nothing you could do or say or think will ever change that.
  2. You are amazing! I look at you with wonder! Not just at what you can do, but who you are. There is no one like you. No one!
  3. It's all right to cry. People cry for all kinds of reasons: when they are hurt, sad, glad, or worried; when they are angry, afraid, or lonely. Big people cry too. I do.
  4. You've made a mistake. That was wrong. People make mistakes. I do. Is it something we can fix? What can we do? It's all over. You can start fresh. I know you are sorry. I forgive you.
  5. You did the right thing. That was scary or hard. Even though it wasn't easy, you did it. I am proud of you; you should be too.
  6. I'm sorry. Forgive me. I made a mistake.
  7. You can change your mind. It's good to decide, but it is also fine to change.
  8. What a great idea! You were really thinking! How did you come up with that? Tell me more. Your mind is clever!
  9. That was kind. You did something helpful and thoughtful for that person. That must make you feel good inside. Thank you!
  10. I have a surprise for you. It's not your birthday. It's for no reason at all. Just a surprise, a little one, but a surprise.
  11. I can wait. We have time. You don't have to hurry this time.
  12. What would you like to do? It's your turn to pick. You have great ideas. It's important to follow your special interests.
  13. Tell me about it. I'd like to hear more. And then what happened? I'll listen.
  14. I'm right here. I won't leave without saying good-bye. I am watching you. I am listening to you.
  15. Please and Thank You. These are important words. If I forget to use them, will you remind me?
  16. I missed you. I think about you when we are not together!
  17. Just try. A little bit. One taste, one step. You might like it. Let's see. I'll help you if you need it. I think you can do it.
  18. I'll help you. I heard you call me, here I am. How can I help you? If we both work together, we can get this done. I know you can do it by yourself, but I'm glad to help since you asked.
  19. What do you wish for? Even if it's not yet time for birthday candles and we don't have a wishbone, it's still fun to hear about what you wish for, hope for, and dream about

Insurance again

Two Saturdays ago, I met hubby’s friend who is an insurance agent. As you all know we are currently on search for family insurance plans and educational plan for our daughter. She gave me her computed insurance quote and listened as she explained the details. The plan she gave was good but the premiums are way too high. She gave me the application forms which I have to fill up at home. I told her that I’ll just ask question if ever there are things I don’t understand. Honestly, I’m quite hesitant since I want a cheaper insurance rate.

I told hubby about this and he said that he’ll asked his friend to gave us another quotation. I also emailed his friend but she hasn’t responded yet. Well I just hope she’ll give us a better quote next time.

Five Reasons

  1. We went to Dampa at Libis last Friday and had our farewell dinner for our two church leadsingers. One of them will be staying for good in Singapore and the other one will be working in Florida. We'll surely miss them...
  2. Because they're leaving, two of us who are under training are now tasked to lead.
  3. My sister is two months pregnant!
  4. I already applied for EON Visa Electron online. I'll be recieving my card this week. I'm excited because according to Yugatech, users can now withdraw their paypal funds using eon. Isn't that great?!?
  5. Got an MMS from my handsome hubby this morning.

I have two officemates who are getting married this month. I know how they feel. I’ve been there! :) It’s such a wonderful feeling and truly one of the most exciting days in a woman’s life. I remember when I was preparing for my own wedding. I am one of those hands-on brides. I’m so dedicated from the selection of the theme to the last details of the event. And I don’t have regrets cause my wedding turned out the way I wanted it to be.

One of the essential and first things to think of on a wedding is the invitations. I remember one time, I saw these
calla lilies inspired wedding invitations in a shop and I thought that it’s a nice wedding theme...calla lilies! The invitation comes with calla lily weddings cards too. I almost placed an order, hahaha! But during that time we already have our invitation designed so I brushed off the idea and thought I can just have our venue’s aisles decorated with white calla lilies…they look so simple yet elegant and neat, that’s why. I just love it during my wedding.

Well, my wedding is simply one of the best moments of my life.… I know it would also be for my officemates :)

Health Care

I was talking to my friend the other night and found out that her son was hospitalized last Saturday. Her son stayed in the hospital only for 24 hours but she said that she paid a huge amount of money since she wasn’t able to apply it to Philhealth. She didn't have the chance to get a form from their office cause it’s a weekend. She was really regretting the fact that they didn’t have any healthcare insurance. I told her that she can really save money on healthcare insurance so it’s good for her to start looking for insurance companies that offers these kind of services.

Our family’s health should be on top of our priorities. For me it’s one of the most important things in life. So it’s essential that we’re protected with
healthcare coverage. I am thankful that one of the benefits our company provides their employees is our medical and health insurance. It’s such a relief when you do not worry about hospitalization’s a great help.

I've got this tough tag from Milet...

Never in my life have I been:
accused of things related to alcohol or drugs

The one person who can drive me nuts is:
I don't know anyone...hehehe!

High school is:
something I enjoyed and will never ever forget

When I’m nervous:
My heart pumps, my hands cold, and I always say a silent prayer...

If I were to get married right now my Maid of Honor would be:
Oh, I’m married...but It'll still be my sister

My hair is:
always long and straight and dark brown

When I was 10:
I enjoyed playing "hide and seek", "Patintero" and "Habulan" :D

Last Christmas:
Is Jaden's first Christmas..our first Christmas as a family

I should be:
sleeping early now to wake on time for our call time tomorrow

The happiest recent events were:
hubby was promoted!

By this time next year:
hubby's 18'th month at KSA...Jaden is 2 and a half years old

My current gripe is:
my laptop and internet connection :(

I have a hard time understanding:
some situations which I prefer not to talk about (same as Milet :D)

There’s this girl I know who:
is a backstabber and queen of pretensions and gossip.

You know I like you when:
I treat you as a friend and confide in you..

If I won an award, the first person I would tell would be:
My husband

Take my advice:
There's power in prayer

Something that I really want to buy is:
A fisher-price laughtop for Jaden, and a new dresser and closet for our room

If you visited the place I was born:
good for you.. I can't remember growing up there.. :D

I plan to visit:
Singapore or Hongkong when hubby returns

I’d stop my wedding if:
some untoward incident happens

The world could do without:
so much greed :(

I’d rather lick the belly of a cockroach than:
I won't! yuck!!! :D

Most recent thing I’ve bought myself:
A new pair of flat shoes

Most recent thing someone else bought me:
A necklace and a pair of merrell rubber shoes

This morning I:
woke up at 8am and saw Jaden already staring and smiling at me

This is really a tough one sis..but I enjoyed it. Thanks!

I was able to chat with Toni a while ago. She mentioned about Blogvertise. I haven’t tried it yet but I was encouraged to so just a few minutes ago I signed in. Like other paid blogging sites, Blogvertise will pay bloggers for every posts that talks about their advertisers or for mentioning them on their blogs..Now I’m just waiting for my approval. I’m hoping for the best! :)

The Day the Love Begun…

Before she was a part of my life, I used
to dream about what it would be like
to have a daughter.
Scattered among my hopes for someone
to love and share things with were
many fears of motherhood and all its challenges.
I wondered whether I had it in me to
give enough of my self to meet the
needs of a tiny new person who
would depend on me for everything.
I wondered whether I could love and
care for a beautiful daughter the
way I imagined in my dreams –
completely and without reservations.
When she finally became apart of my
life, I knew right away that she was
everything I had hoped for and more.
The little fears disappeared in the rush
of love I felt, and when I held her
in my arms I wanted to stay that
way forever.

--Linda Sackett-Morrison

Five Reason

  1. Hubby told me that he’s sending his Christmas gift for us early next month…and guess what?? I’ll have my wish granted! He’s giving me necklace and earrings for Jaden. I am so giddy!
  2. He was also promoted to a new and much better position and…salary!
  3. Got new assignments today and I'm done!
  4. My sister lends me her Ipod... I just need to buy an ipod battery later at F.
  5. It’s a fine, cool and drizzling Thursday again!

My favorite song...

In Christ alone will I glory
Though I could pride myself
In battles won
For I've been blessed beyond measure
And by His strength
alone, I overcome

Oh, I could stop and count successes
Like diamonds in my hands
But these trophies could not equal
To the grace, by which I stand

In Christ aloneI place my trust
And find my glory
In the power of the cross
In every victory
Let it be said of me
My source of strength
My source of hope
Is Christ alone

In Christ alone will I glory
For only by His grace
I am redeemed
And only His tender mercy
Could reach beyond my weakness
To my need
Now I seek no greater honor
Than just to know Him more
And to count my gains but losses
And to the glory of my Lord ....

This is one of the song I sooo love. Whenever I hear or sing this song, I am reminded to always trust Him!

There she goes...

Capturing the way she goes down from our bed....

Dream House

It’s our dream to have our own house. I don’t want it big but one that is comfortable to live in. But I want a very nice kitchen on it…that’s my favorite part of the house, while my hubby loves the living room…aside from the bedroom, hahaha! But he dreams of not just an ordinary living room but a home theater! Complete with leather home theater seating huh! Anyway, that’s just a dream so I just let him be as imaginative as he can. But of course, we do pray that God will grant us our dream house someday.

Beautiful and sexy blogger?

It's a wonderful morning and wonderful indeed! coz I got two awards from Joey!!! She is sooo generous :D....

..and I am sooo flattered! :D Hehehe!! But as she said, we are all beautiful and sexy in our own ways. I'm passing this on to sexy bloggers Yette, Toni, Mitch, Nice, Norm, Kitts and MommyChi.

Comfort Food

I was tagged by Peachy...

*My Comfort Food!*

I may say that my comfort food is fried chicken! Whether resto bougth, or homecooked, coated or just plain fried (seasoned with salt or fish sauce) I'll eat it. Love it also if served with pasta or fries, mashed potato or any side dish and soup. Whether its a McChicken, or ChickenJoy, KFC or what else? :D Basta i love it...its one super yummy food for me!

What is your comfort food.. Toni, Darlene, Nice, and Joey?

Star Blogger!

Was just bloghopping and found out that I was given an award...Thank you so much for this Toni ! :)

I'm giving back and passing this award to Toni, Kitts, Nice, Milet and Lutchi

My friend who just moved to Florida messaged me if I know where she can get Wicked tickets. With confusion I asked her what is Wicked??? Honestly I didn’t have any idea until she explained that it’s a musical! hehehe…She loves plays and musical so much.

Wicked is the story of the witches in the Land of Oz before Dorothy (of The Wizard of Oz) came in. It’s like a prelude that would explain part of the original story, I think, so it’s going to be a thrilling one. Unfortunately, since I don’t know what that was, I wasn’t able to help. But I told her to search on line. I think it would be easier.

Checking Account

My boss always has this problem on one of his checking accounts. He always needs cash to fund it because it’s what he uses to pay the operation expenses of their neighborhood association. I always have to make sure that it’s well funded so that he won’t issue bounced checks. It irritates him when the bank calls to inform him that it don’t have enough funds. So now, we’re really trying to persuade the members to pay their dues on time.

Question Tag

I was tagged by Toni. Her question: "When did you start blogging and why?"

Well, as posted here, I started blogging October 14, 2004. Honestly I don't know what a "blog" is until I became a member of an e-group called weddings@work during my wedding planning. It became a trend of fellow bride-to-be's so I started putting up my own merely to document my wedding preparation. Now it became my life journal.

Now for my question: "What do you address your spouse as endearment and why?

Want to hear your answers :D... Amore, Eds, Nice and Mari.

My brother-in-law used to collect miniature cars and car accessories. When he married my sister he took these stuff with him, he can’t live without them :D. Now these stuff are all kept in a cabinet inside their room, including that one and only Dodge Charger accessory t-shirt. He never wore that shirt. That’s how precious his collections are to him. I can’t just imagine if his daughter would beg him to play with the cars...will he give in? Hmm..

She giggled!

Our harutan last night... :D

She giggled when she saw my pasalubong...and so much when I started playing the puppets! She was so happy.. :)

I miss my daughter...I wasn't able to see her before she sleep last night since I arrived late. I need to be in the church to lead the PW for our midweek and when I came home, she's already sleeping. I just kissed and hugged her. This morning, she woke up late so I didn't get the chance to play with her anymore. It's hard to be a working mom talaga. Buti na lang she's in the mood to talk when I called kanina.

I'm excited to go home. I bought dalmatian and Tigger puppets for her and I am so excited to play it with her later :D.

Have you tried Smorty?

I have signed up for Smorty last Monday and got my approval the next day…I feel really blessed. I believe posties out there will agree with me if I say that it really feels great once you signed up and your blog gets its approval by paid blogging sites! For me, it means new way to earn extra income. When I decided to blog for money, I search and continuously look for opportunities that can help me improved my blogging income. A friend then referred me to Smorty. I checked on the site and signed up right a way. And she was right. It was so easy! After my approval, I’ve already received tasks waiting to be completed. I’ve already accomplished one task and just waiting for its approval.

Who would have thought that you can earn money just by writing opinions on your blog? So, to those who aren’t into paid blogging yet, make the most out of it and try Smorty.

Rainy Thursday

..It's a rainy Thursday. I felt like going home na lang kanina coz when I arrived at the shuttle terminal, there are already two long lines when it was only 7:25am! But my loyalty to work win through so I just waited for a ride. I was able to leave the terminal at 8:30. I was caught in traffic. Buti na lang relaxing ang music ng nasakyan ko. But still, I arrived late at work. What a day! :D

Christmas Gifts

Christmas is coming and I’m sure a lot of people are already preparing their gifts to give. My dilemma every year is what to give my boss. It’s hard to think of something since I think he already has everything. Hmmm…I’m just wondering if somebody would give him golf clubs this year. He loves golf and I’m sure he’ll just love it even more if he’ll received Nike golf clubs. But for sure I’m not the one to give those to him! :D

My 5 Reasons

  1. It's Wednesday! Ang bilis ng araw..buti na lang din para mabilis lumipas ang taon. 1 and a half years to go para magkasama uli kami ni hubby.
  2. Half of our 13th month pay was given today :D yipee!!
  3. I have assignments waiting so I need to concentrate on my paid posts. Hope I can accomplished all of them. This means added income again :D
  4. I was assigned to led the PW for our midweek service later. Another way of giving back my talent to God ;)
  5. It's a wonderful day today, isn't it?

I am so flattered to have recieved such words from her... Thank you so much sis! Like what I said, I am also thankful to have you as one of my online friends and you're really a blessing :)

I'm now passing on the award to these girls whom I consider online friends :) : Kitts , Heidi, Nette, and Toni

1. How long have you been blogging?
I started blogging October of 2004. My blog then was But something came up so I changed it to I have also tried to switch to Wordpress one time but decided to return to blogger. I'm blogging for more than three years now.

I got to know all things about blogging thru fellow bride-to-be's and thought of putting up my own so that I can document my wedding preparation. I don’t have any mentors also because blogger is user-friendly but I sometimes asked my IT friends whenever I encounter some technical problems.

At first I looked at it as my online diary. But after a while I saw the trend was changing and fellow bloggers makes money out of their blogs, that's when I entered into paid blogging.

- It lets me earn extra money.

- Keeping my blog interesting.
- Writing posts that will get my reader's interest.

Online Business

My sister is into beads. It was her hobby at first but then she realized that she can make money out of it. She’s hoping to get more buyers so she’s planning to put her bead jewelry business online. She was setting up a website where she can put useful information and images of her products. I told her to get a shopping cart software too so that she can include shopping cart in the site where buyers can easily place their orders. Speaking of shopping cart software, I came across Ashop Commerce.

It’s an online store building software and one of the world’s most easy to use web based administrators. It allows first time merchants such as my sister to build their online store capable of competing with other stores online for a minimal monthly fee. If you can visit their site, you can see that they offer a demo and a free 10-day trial of the software. It’s a good software to invest for online business starters.

What happened to our car and my driving lesson?

Since my husband left, our car remained in the garage. It’s because I haven’t enrolled yet to a driving school and don’t know how to drive yet...yeah..until now… *sigh* But I do check it regularly and I always remind my father and brother-in-law to check it from time to time as well since it's parked in their garage. I am not also able to wash it regularly so I’m thinking of buying it a cover so that it won’t get really dirty. I’m planning to go to a car accessories store this week-end and check on some car covers so that my mother will stop bugging me to buy one. And my driving lesson? Well, I have checked on some schools already but haven't enrolled yet but I just hope that I could have my driving lesson early next year so the car won’t get stacked-up. This is my project for next year. :D

Business Planning

We’ve just had our company’s two-day business planning last Thursday and Friday. It was one of our company’s initiative for its corporate performance management. We’ve discussed plans for each department but unlike the previous years where we only plan for the next year, this time we discussed each department’s plans for the next five years. Which is really good because the company is widening it’s vision.

I just hope for the best for our company and of course on top of this, I’m praying for each plans to succeed. Being part of it, I can see it as my duty to continuously pray for the company where I work.

The Rule of 8

I was tagged by Heidi...(sorry for the late response sis ha! :D)

* write 8 facts about yourself
* in the 8 facts, you share 8 things that your readers don't know about you. At the end, you tag as much other bloggers to keep the fun going. Each blogger must post these rules first
* each blogger starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves
* at the end of the post, a blogger needs to choose as much people to get tagged and list their names.
* don't forget to leave them a comment telling them that they're tagged and to read your blog Mhay's 8 FACTS/HABITS.

Hmm..this is kinda hard but let's see....
  1. First, I don't eat squash. i know..i know I'm bad but I just don't like it..hehehe
  2. I like reading books but whenever I read one, specially if it's a novel, I read first the ending so that I'll know if it's worth my time :D
  3. I'm a procrastinator...but I'm trying to be more disciplined's hard lang hehehe :D
  4. I'm sort of a middle child. I have two sisters before me and two sisters after me...when we're young I used to have feelings of being left out. :(
  5. I'm a little bit OC when it comes to using toothpaste. It irritates me if someone at home will squeezed it in the middle...coz I want them to do it like me...squeezing it at the bottom.
  6. I'm a graduate of Advertising and Public Relations but was not able to work on an advertising firm. Now, I'm just fond of commenting, or praising commercials on TV.
  7. I always wear my hair long. I have a round face so I think a short do will not look good on me.
  8. I'm a singer in our church and I'm happy with what I do. Thru this I was able to speak now before a crowd.. when I was young I used to have stage frights but was able to overcome it when I started singing.

well that's it! I may not be able to follow the rule coz honestly, I don't know who else to tag...:D so just feel free to snag this if you want to :).

It's already November and I know some of you are already preparing for one of the most celebrated holidays. It's Thanksgiving! :D

Thanksgiving decorations can now be seen all over the streets and classmate back in college who's in New York posted a picture with her decors in the background...when I saw it, it created a festive feeling in me. Well, here in the Philippines people usually decorate for Christmas and they start putting those decorations during this month and then remove them by end of January.

Hmmm...made me think to start decorating our home as well...I'm excited to see my daughter's reaction when she see those colorful lights. :D

Good little habits

Jaden has developed a new routine...and it was good ha, kasi now she knows proper hygiene :D....

It started a few days ago...She woke up that morning and then I saw that her diaper was already full so I removed it. Then I was reminded of Nice's idea so I thought, why not try if my daughter can do it also. So, I gave my daughter the soiled diaper (supporting her hands to hold it) and guided her to the trash bin and told her to drop it inside. After she's done it, she smiled at me. I gave her a hug and told her "very good!" Eventually, parang she remembers it every day na. She'll do it joyfully every morning, pero she'll do it herself na...(though I still walk with her to the trash bin). Naging routine na niya talaga. :D

It's not really hard to teach children build good habits at this age kaya it's good if you can teach them as early as now. As for me, I just hope that my daughter will remain teachable. That's what I'm really praying...that I will be able to raised her with good character...starting with good little habits.

I wish

Speaking of Christmas, I also wish to get something for my self as well. I wish hubby would give me something nice and pretty with all those glitters and sparkles! I wish he’d give me costume jewelry this year. But of course anything he'll give will be special and I am not the person who’ll volubly request or demand something, so I’ll just wait if he’ll be able to read my mind and grant my wish.

I know I can, but I wish I could

Christmas is coming and there are things I really wish I can do to share the spirit of Christmas. I wanted to go to an orphanage and give toys to the kids... I wish to go to homes for the aged and give gifts to the elderly. I wish I can also go to drug treatment centers and share God’s goodness to them. But one thing I really wish to do which I know I can is to visit my godfather who’s in prison for more than 10 years now. It’s really a long story why he’s there…and I know all we could do to make him happy this Christmas is to pay a visit.

I got so bored so I took the kids out this afternoon. I said kids because my niece stayed with us for a while and since we all wanted a little fun (the kids we're bored reading books and playing with their toys) we went to the mall.

We went to Sta Lucia East and just strolled around, the kids played a little and had a snack. Jaden wanted to go a little independent. She didn't want us to hold her hands while strolling so I had to be all alert at baka madapa or mabangga. Grabe, she thought she can just freely walk and run as long as she wanted. Bata talaga!

I've got a text message from my husband the other day. It was his reply when I told him about the life insurance quote I received from an insurance agent a few days ago. Actually he's interested to get one but he also wants to get an educational plan for our daughter. So, he asked me to look for an educational plan which also has this benefit. He referred me to his friend who also works in an insurance company and we'll see what we'll get.

Bluetooth headset

Before mobile phones has evolved to what they are right now, people on the go used to answer calls while walking on the streets or while driving, keeping the unit on the ears being supported by the shoulders. It’s too uncomfortable. But thanks to technology…headsets were invented which can help users become more mobile...answering calls while driving is more convenient. And the new trend nowadays is a Bluetooth headset which is more functional and handy because it’s a headset minus the wires.

Bathroom lights

Most children are afraid of the dark. My niece slept in our house one time and she woke up in the middle of the night to pee. She's one of those kids who got scared in the dark so I accompany her to the bathroom. It's good that we had bathroom lights. And of course I make sure that we always had them in good condition. I tell you, it's hard to use a bathroom that doesn't have enough lights.

Long vacation

Nakaka-bore din pala ang long vacation specially if you don't have anywhere to go but stay at home...though of course I get to bond with my kulit...but when she's super duper cranky na, I ask her yaya to keep her busy and don't make kulit muna with me, hehehe! I can just imagine those SAHMs. Sobrang haba siguro talaga ng patience nila sa makukulit na chikiting. I admire them. Though I'm also thinking din of being a SAHM sometimes. Kasi mahirap talaga i-entrust everything to the yaya.

What's good lang sa working mom for now, I enjoy the separation anxiety stage. I've read an article na you just have to enjoy this moment na you're child is really clingy kasi there will come a time na mawawalan na rin sila ng paki pag umaalis in deadma. So i-enjoy lang ang moment na humahabol sila, but don't make it hard on you and on them as well. There are a lot of articles on the web that talks about coping up and enjoying this stage. And that's what I'm doing, I always tell her na mom's going back din everyday when I leave her for work. Sarap ng feeling when she waves good bye and throw me a kiss.

Anyways, wala lang siguro ako magawa for now so I'm writing this down while watching TV. My kulit is already asleep...It will be another long day tomorrow with her :D
