Five Reasons

1. Reconciled with hubby (details later..)
2. Our new helper is giving me quite a headache! (need more supervision - good thing she's only here during weekends)
3. Our first visit at MOA...tiring but fun!
4. Meek's grumpiness lately is really annoying. I don't know why she's irritated during the night.
5. Finally, our efforts during the medical mission paid-off. We had cash gifts! LOL.

1. The sun set view 2. The appetizer at KKK 3. Wacky family pic 4. Sisters (me and miam) 5. Chubba Meek with spoon on hand 6. The fish garnished with green mango strips 7. The rented stroller (we forgot to bring Meek's) 8. Serious family pic now 9. At the veranda during sun set.

Our visit at SM Mall Of Asia with our daughter. Had our dinner at KKK Restaurant after strolling around. Tiring since MOA is really big but I personally didn't like the mall since the shops are scattered around and there are places that has no A/C. Went home at 8pm. We had had fun!

Quick Update

I'm really having a busy week. But I was able to have a quick peek on my blog and left a quick update.

We already hired a helper. Yeah...My husband wanted to that's why we got her. She will be working for us during week ends. She'll be coming to work afternoon of Fridays and leave morning of Mondays. So far, pretty good arrangement. She started last Friday. She's young but I could sense that she's dependable and responsible. I just don't know if she's doing it just for good impressions. But I think she's okay. I know this will add up to our expenses but I did think hard about this.

My week started really busy. My boss asked me to come to work last Sunday, so no time to really write longer posts and updates. I’ll just make up next week.

Some of the people I know have already traveled outside of the Philippines. Some for work, while some for pleasure.

Some of the people I know invested their money in stock market and mutual funds. They are now earning the returns of their investments.

Some of the people I know got to take advantage of a rent-to-own house and they are doing well with the arrears.

Some of my church mates send their children to Meridian. A one-of-a kind school. And I may say, their children are outstanding and well-disciplined.

I had a heart burning desire to have the same. But as I look at our present financial status, I realized, It's still a long ride. But for now, at least I can dream. :D

Here's one thing I learned. There's nothing wrong in dreaming. Though sometimes, you have to dream of something that you know you can achieve... even if it'll be not sooner, so that it will be easier to prompt yourself to move. You should also share it to someone who has a positive point of view and has a belief in you. And most of all, you have to pray for it.

Some people think that in life, to achieve what you want, money should always be the present answer. Yes, sometimes, money is the fuel that drives a dream. But as I said, it's not always. And why am I talking about this now? I don’t know...maybe just to encourage and motivate my self. Cause lately, I'm dreaming of several things...

I also want my family to travel abroad.
I also want to invest in a mutual fund.
I also want my baby to have good education from the Meridian.
I also want to have our own house.

And the answer for all of the above is...yes, MONEY.

Of course, I have faith. But faith without work is futile.

That is why I am encouraging my self to earn more, spend less and save.

And the rest, I leave them to God.

With hard work, and faith in God, no dream is impossible to achieved

Stripes and Leggings. It's the current fad...and I'm a little hooked.

I was thinking of buying a pair. I just couldn't picture it yet if it will look nice on me too just like those girls on TV....

But here's a reminder to myself:
Spend less....SAVE. SAVE. SAVE!

Oh well....forget about fashion..It will have it's end anyway....(thare's sarcasm in there if you didn't get it)

Working Girl

It’s Friday once again and I am really excited to go home...:D

I had a very tiring and toxic week. Just last night I was asked to attend a planning session for the medical mission and me and my colleague went home really late. I wasn't able to see my baby before she sleep. I missed her.

...But we had a very lavish meal last night plus GC’s from Starbucks!! :D

Things regarding the medical mission are really going on top of my head and I need to stretch my patience now that it's coming near. I have been loaded with work since the start of the year and all I want now is for this event to come to its finality. :D

I hope sooner.

Marriage, It's Forever!

I was watching TV a while ago while ironing our clothes. I was watching The Buzz. There was news there about Bernard Palanca and Meryll Soriano. It’s about Meryll leaving BJ because the latter still do this thing that Meryll couldn't stand (they’re just wed recently), and Snooky Serna and Nino’s (I forgot his surname) marriage problem. Talking about showbiz huh?

Upon hearing these, I thought... what’s with these people? It’s as if they’re playing with love and marriage. An artist...that’s what they are, but can’t they be more careful in entering marriage? They are just but a few, I know there are still a lot of broken marriages out there which involves showbiz couples. Anyway, that’s their lives and I know I can't do anything about it. I was just wondering why...if I could just tell them my opinion...They shouldn’t be entering a sacred commitment if in the end they’ll break off from it thinking that they have no other choice and it’s the best thing to do. They should have been more careful with their decision in the first place so that they won’t be suffering from the consequences in the end. They should have known the person well and be sure enough to commit their lives to them before making the decision to say “I do”.

I lifted this article from the Christian Resources’ Site

Marriage, It's Forever!

For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."
Matthew 19: 5-6

This is God's plan for marriage. So simple yet so many take for granted the very covenant that is made with God on the wedding day. The words are said over and over each week as thousands upon thousands stand before God pledging their love to one another.

These words are the words of Jesus:
"Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate"

Marriage is a lifelong commitment and partnership between a man and a woman with exclusive love and fidelity with one another. It is also known as "Troth" which means loyal or pledged faithfulness, fidelity.

Men and women who marry in Christ share a mutual trust. They can be sure of their relationship because it rests on God's covenantal faithfulness. They also know that through His Word of marriage, God brought them together and keeps them together. --
James H. Olthuis

When our promise in marriage is grounded with the commitment to Jesus Christ, the quality of life is enhanced beyond measure, as our relationship with God grows deeper and stronger.

The bond between man and woman who stand in front of God with hearts full of assurance that their promise is a lifelong union enjoy these qualities in their life:

Unshakeable Trust
Standing on a Strong foundation!

As the relationship moves forward and is pleasing to God, blessings abound! Now that's a promise! Even in times of trial the "troth" made between themselves and God will be a constant strong reminder that negative situations need to be resolved quickly. They know in their hearts that to allow conflict would only undermine the sanctity of the marriage vows.

God's Word clearly states that marriage is ordained by God to be a lifelong commitment. So then, why does our society expend so much energy looking for "acceptable" ways of getting out of a marriage covenant that is for life?

We need to see "marriage" in the "truth" that God established BEFORE we say the words pledging our hearts to one another!

We need to teach this to our children beginning today!

And...we need to help those that have drifted away from their promises made to God for their marriage!

Very well said, isn't it? So I believe wether you're Christian or Catholic or whatever, the important thing is we should see marriage as sacred. And it's forever, a lifetime commitment not only to our partners but to God the most.

As of Today....

we still haven't had a helper yet. So the laundry, cooking, ironing, and cleaning of the house are still on my to-do list every Saturday.

Today is Saturday. As scheduled, I washed the clothes, cleaned the house, washed the dishes, and took care of baby Jaden. I finished washing the dishes and the laundry at 10 am. Good thing Jaden woke up after I finished all the chores. I was able to bathed her and took a bath myself after. I did this all successfully in half a day and was able to read my bible while I'm resting and Jaden was taking her nap.

I realized, maybe we need not hire a helper at all. I can do all the chores by my self. I also realized, salary for a helper will still add to our monthly expenses. If we'll not hire a helper, the cost can be added to our savings...hmmm..... let me think about this again and check with dear husband. Maybe this move is right. :D

Just my thoughts

I like the weather nowadays. It's a little cold specially during the night. It seems like Christmas season is just starting. I remember my younger days. When I was young I feel excited when I begin to feel this cold. I'm excited cause, I know Christmas is coming. Hmmmm.... Anyways, back to reality. Christmas time is over. :D

Well, time really change. When you grow old, time seems to move faster. I missed my younger days. Really. But reality check, we grow old as time and days go by.

Anyway, back to my topic. I just like the weather. There was a news yesterday that it's even colder in
Baguio City. There were about 1 and 1/2 inch of ice on the plants and crops and the fog was heavy. I think this will last until end of February.

Soaked with Milk

Literally! I got soaked with Jaden's milk this morning. I had a deep sleep since I was exhausted. I just felt that I was freezing and my clothes were soaked. I woke up and noticed that it's still the wee hour of the morning and I am really freezing... I get off the bed and found out that my dear husband is sleeping soundly in the sofa. I thought...why didn't he tell me that baby's milk spilled out? Why didn't he told me that the bed is soaked? Why didn't he told me to change clothes since I got soaked? Why is he sleeping soundly here? He didn't care.

I changed my clothes and got back to bed. I looked for a drier part and slept. When we woke up, I ignored him. I sulked over him. I'm sad. But then, I realized, I don't want to feel this way the whole day so I texted him.
I told him what I feel and I was surprise with his reply:

"sorry, di ko naman talaga alam na nabasa ka (i didn't know that you got soak). I only thought it's baby's bed kaya nga inalis ko at inilipat ko siya sa pwesto ko (that's why I put her in my place instead), kaya lumipat ako ( and Imoved). I really don't know. and Im really sorry. Ofcourse, I care for you because I love you.."

I felt a pinch in my heart... he does care.

We'll just talk more when I get home.. :D

With All I Am

I just want to share the lyrics of one my songs last night. I was touched with the message of this song. It made me cry in front of the people. I was reminded of how I have been responding to God through my actions and attitude lately. I was reminded that I cannot do anything throuh my own ways and not acknowledging God as the master of it all. I was reminded that God is the reason why I'm still here...

God really is the reason of our being. Of all the things that He did and is always doing for us, we cannot give him anything in return but our LIVES. Our TIME...our STRENGTH...our ALL.

Into your hands
I commit again
With all I am
For you Lord
You hold my world
In the palm of your hand
And I am yours

Jesus I believe in you
Jesus I belong to you
You’re the reason that I live
The reason that I sing
With all I am

I'll walk with you
Wherever you go
Through tears and joy
I'll trust in you
And I will live
In all of your ways
(And) Your promises

Jesus I believe in you
Jesus I belong to you
You’re the reason that I live
The reason that I sing
With all I am

I will worship, I will worship you
I will worship, I will worship you

Jesus I believe in you
Jesus I belong to you
You’re the reason that I live
The reason that I sing
With all I am..
